Leepa Valley, Mini Kashmir | Azad Jammu Kashmir
One of the beautiful mesmerizing valleys in “Heaven on Earth” Azad Kashmir is Leepa Valley. One has to travel 105KM from Muzaffarabad via Naile. Road from Naile to Leepa valley is quite scenic and fair-weathered. While travelling on this road, first you have to reach Reshian that is 3200meters above sea level and then declines to 1677meters altitude in to Leepa Valley.
You can travel to Leepa on car or buses running daily from Muzaffarabad. From Reshian you have to take a jeep due to road condition. Cars and busses can’t go further.
Tourist Spots and scenic Location:
Fascinating Leepa Valley consists of small villages. Some of them are Leepa, Reshian, Dao Khan and Channian. All these village comprise to a fabulous mosaic of nature that comes into shape of a Valley in Azad Kashmir.
Leepa valley is considered one of the best tourist spots with scenic locations, with high peaks covered with pine trees. During winter season the whole valley is snow covered and tourist can visit the valley from May to November.
Its lush green river fields in summer and typical wooden Kashmiri houses present a wonderful view. Walnut, apples, cherries and honey of Leepa are very popular.
During the autumn season, leaves fall off the trees and it is the time snowfall begins. It is the right time to visit and enjoy the mesmerizing scenery of the valley.
