Beautiful Places to visit in Tremendous Hunza Valley
Hunza is a Tremendous Valley on KKH in Gilgit Baltistan Region in the most northern part of Pakistan. It takes about one and a half hour’s drive to reach Hunza from Gilgit city. This valley is full of beauty and mesmerizes one by its marvelous mountainous views. Hunza River flows throughout the valley beside the road and this beautiful valley is bordering China with Pakistan.
Heritage of Hunza Valley
Besides of its natural beauty Hunza is also famed for its historical heritage i.e. Altit Fort & Baltit Fort. Altit fort is said to be almost 1100 years old and Baltit fort is about 700 years old. Both these monuments are now world heritage and worth visiting. Baltit fort is a museum now run by the Baltit Heritage Trust.

12th Highest Peak in Pakistan
When you leave Gilgit towards Hunza, at about an hour’s drive on KKH you will reach Rakaposhi View Point. This place is known because it give a glamorous view of the Rakaposhi Peak with soul touching Blue sky view and the snow covered mountains giving an enchanting view.
Amazing way of living in Karimabad Village
Next is the Karimabad (Baltit Village) which has its own charm for tourism in the world. A British Newspaper ranked it as best Tourist Spot in Pakistan and this Village of Hunza Valley got World Award of Tourism in 2000. The “way of living” of Locals in Karimabad is the actual reason behind its international worth that attracts the tourists from the world.

Recently formed Attabad Lake
Further moving on to the KKH from Hunza Valley will lead you to the beautiful Attabad Lake which is another splendor in its own. This lake was result of a land sliding, when two mountains blocked the river Hunza and this Lake was formed. The length of this lake is around 29KM and starting point is a small village named Ganish.

A heart touching beauty of the nature can be seen at a small village called Passu on KKH giving a splendid view of mountains known to be Passu Cones. This place is well famed because of its chilled pleasant weather and silence all around.

One of the Highest Alpine Lakes in World is Rush Lake
Another charming spot of the Area is Rush Lake known to be one of the Highest Alpine Lakes in the world. A very difficult trek full of adventures leads to the Lake and this trek is not recommended for non-professionals. But people who like adventures must enjoy this trek and beautiful sight of the lake. Trek to lake gives good views of Miar Peak, Phuparash Peak and Ultar Sar.

A small village in the area that is full of Loving people who are cultural blessed. Along with the beautiful views of nature, specialty of this area is the tremendous voice of people.
Last but not Least Sost…
Sost is the Last locality area on KKH in Pakistan region bordering China. As other parts of the valley this village is also full of captivating backgrounds and is the last point of Hunza Valley. Goods transported from China are dumped here. This village is the initial trade point on Pak-China Border.
Last tourist spot in Pakistan on KKH. Renowned for Pak-China Friendship and its weather. Tourists usually stay there for 2-3 hours only because no residential facilities are available there. But mesmerizing views of Baltoro Glacier, Snow Covered mountains and the Passage through Khunjerab National Park attracts tourists from around the world.
Khujerab National Park has importance of its own. As it is the third biggest national park in Pakistan and was established to protect the Marco Polo Sheep, Snow Leaopards and Markhoor. While passing through you will see these animals running over the mountains. That add prettines to the mountainous captivating sceneries.
