Here are 7 tips — tried and tested!
Lighten your waterline
Desi girls love eyeliner on waterline. It’s almost comforting to have your eye shaped by a black outline. But when you wear glasses, this styles your eyes look smaller.
Go for a brighter shade on the waterline to make your eyes. White and peach are the common choice for brightening up the eyes but more comfortable is a brown that is soft but still sticks to a muggy finish.
Double the liner
While it’s best to stick to a nude look when in glasses (upper lid) it’s best to thicken up your eyeliner to frame the eye better.
Also, try to wing-out your liner in a way so that the lengthy line goes up to the corner of your frame.
Up the lower lash game
No matter how widespread your spectacles are, chances are the frames will make it hard to show off your eye makeup, which is why try to stick to the lower lash line. While I still don’t advise black, dark shades can work, I love the Smokey lower lash. Also, it’s the seamless place to have a pop of color! So you can actually tryout with your lower lash, it’s your best feature in spectacles.
Pro tip: If you have colored frames, go for either a shade lighter than your frame for a lenient look and a distinction for a statement.
Highlight the inner corner
Blame our love for highlighters but this is the best way to enhance up the eyes. A pop of highlighter in the inner corner of your eye truly help prevent the recessed look you get when you have spectacles on.
It’s attractive to put on a mascara that gives you super long lashes but it’s an irritation, spectacles-wearers know too well. You have to keep settling your frames, perhaps clean them every few seconds and evoke those moments when you could blink in peace.
We hate to say it but you’ll have to trench the length. Choose for a volume mascara that condenses rather than elongates. Go for a lash primer to add to the volume and don’t be anxious about the length. This look is fine for spectacles.
Tip: curl your lashes to prevent them from hitting the glass as well.
Frame your brows
There’s a possibility, your spectacles are hiding a part of your brows but the part that’s noticeable can help pull your look together. Glasses end up drawing consideration to your brows anyway so have them suit your frames because that is what’ll shape your face for a finished look.
Make sure to highlight your brow bone to highlight the shape.
A bold lip colour
It’s a common makeup tip to focus on either the eyes or the lips.
This is your chance to have a fun bold lipstick, be the star of your look. Even colors that seem to bright or unapproachable are moderately toned down due to frames and this is a great way to look ferocious in spectacles. Try out a bright red or a hot pink! The options are infinite!
